Ingredients

  • 2.5 pounds chicken wings fresh or frozen
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning

Instructions

  • Start by cleaning the chicken wings thoroughly. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  • In your deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat enough vegetable oil to submerge the wings (about 3 inches deep). Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature; it should reach around 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully add the chicken wings in batches to the hot oil. Fry the wings for about 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and lemon pepper seasoning. Stir until well combined.
  • While the wings are still hot, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Pour the lemon pepper butter mixture over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
  • Plate your Wingstop Lemon Pepper Wings and serve them warm.

Equipment

  • Deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot
  • Thermometer
  • Slotted spoon or tongs
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Paper Towels

Notes

  • Experiment with different seasonings like garlic powder or smoked paprika for added flavor.
  • Add cayenne pepper to the lemon pepper seasoning for a spicy kick.
  • Serve wings hot to maintain crispiness; they can lose it as they cool.
